e-Safety
Here at St Richard's, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our Number One focus. In the digital age, this also includes 'e-Safety', an expression used to mean safe use, not only of the internet but other ways in which young people communicate using electronic media, e.g. mobile phones, tablets, etc.
It means ensuring that children and young people are protected from harm and supported to achieve the maximum benefit from new and developing technologies without risk to themselves or others.
This page aims to inform children, parents and guardians what steps the school takes to ensure e-safety for our pupils, but also what you yourselves can do.
Vodafone have produced a 'Digital Parenting' e-magazine which will help you to understand some of the safety issues in the digital world.
